I am a big fan of this plum colour, I feel it is calming and peaceful despite so much movement in some of the mushrooms.

I used a few russulas or brittlegills - so named because they break so easily.  Lots of different varieties grow under some birch trees by the gate every summer and autumn. They appear every year without fail albeit a bit later than usual this year on account of the dry weather. I combined both these lovely colourful mushrooms with some domecaps and cavaliers.

This creation was made using wild Irish garden mushrooms picked sustainably from around the house. The frame (purchased) is 30cm x 40cm which can be hung. I used a plum card in a white frame with perspex.

All my artwork is mounted, framed and shipped free worldwide.
