The Garden Mushrooms on Blue

This piece was made using some of the early summer mushrooms which appear in the lawn. I have lots of dark mottlegills, some lovely black pinkgills, brown conecaps and some sheathed woodtufts. 

I walk the garden most mornings searching for mushrooms that have emerged overnight. Some grow slowly and I leave them to mature whilst others have very short life cycles so they are picked and used immediately.


This artwork was made using wild mushrooms picked sustainably from my Irish garden. The standard frame (purchased) is 30cm x 40cm x 5cm which can be hung.

I used a blue board in a white frame.

All my work is mounted, framed, sealed and ready to hang.
